I went to see Wreck-It Ralph because I heard it was good.
Also, John Lasseter really hasn’t let me down much, and I LOVE how careful he is about storyline. There was also the fact that I grew up hanging out in candy stores and donut shops playing classic videogames, and it looked like there were a lot of videogame references.
Well, I went to see the movie when all the kids are in school (I don’t have a day job, so I can go do stuff when I want) with my wife, and WOW, did we both love it.
There were real characters, the emotion was deep and sincere. The storyline was tight and focused. There were a few real belly laughs and also tear-inducing moments.
But will your kids HATE all of the older references, or all of the jokes for the adults?
Only if they have no heart! Th world of the videohgames is colorful, fun, and imaginative. The language is directed towards kids, but the themes are about friendship and lonliness, and what it takes to really enjoy your life no matter your “station”/
I SUPER-DUPER RECOMMEND seeing this movie, and if you have kids, I TRIPLE-DUPER RECOMMEND IT!
